Abram's Creek Retreat

For the seventh consecutive year, Family HEART Camp West Virginia comes to Abram’s Creek Campground in Elk Garden, West Virginia, located off Route 50 less than three hours away from Washington, D.C.

Abrams Creek offers multiple creek-side campsites and hosts 12 rustic cabins and a few indoor bedrooms in a large common house. All meals are catered, supported by community, and shared outside under canopies in “Rumi’s Field.”

The venue also offers plentiful green space for playing and hosting circles, a large and a small dome for offerings, and a fire pit for community gatherings and our annual marshmallow roasting night.

Situated along the banks of a small river with nearly 3/4 of a mile of waterfront, the property is characterized by massive boulders for sunning and relaxing, a deep covered forest for exploring, and cascading waters, waterfalls, rapids and deep pools for swimming and tubing.
